1900 was the final year that there was a Village of Lansingburgh and a Town of Lansingburgh, prior to the annexation by the City of Troy that became effective January 1, 1901. The majority of Oakwood Cemetery had been within the Town of Lansingburgh, so it too was affected by the change, all of it subsequently land within the City of Troy. After 1900, deaths in Oakwood Cemetery's interment books did continue to record places of birth or late residences as "Lansingburgh." However, some portion of places recorded as Troy thereafter might have been within the Village of Lansingburgh's former boundaries; likewise, places recorded as Schaghticoke could have formerly been northern parts of the Town of Lansingburgh like Pleasantdale, Speigletown, Grant's Hollow, etc.A few of the interments recorded during the 1900s for Burghers were apparently reinterments, e.g. George H. Ayres, whose date of death was given as September 1895. Oakwood's interment books don't always record the cemetery of origin for reinterments, though they may have other types of record books that do.Relatively few of the people who died in 1900 in Lansingburgh who were buried in Oakwood Cemetery were born outside of the United States. Five Danish births, three English births, eight German births, two Irish births, and one in Narasaraopet, India - the infant child of Rev. Noah Emanuel Yeiser, who'd arrived in Lansingburgh after doing foreign mission work. Thirteen places of birth were left blank. The spreadsheet here currently does not include some of the data fields in Oakwood's book: Cause of Death; Interment Year, Month, and Day; Section; Lot; Lot Book Page; Location; Grave Fee; Name of Undertaker; Nearest Relative or Fiend; Remarks. Oakwood's "Name" field has been broken into two here, Surname and Given Name. One new field has been added with an estimated year of birth, calculated by automatically subtracting the age in years from the death year, without attempting to account for months or days. The Sex field in 1900 was left blank in Oakwood's book.At present, one of the people who died in Lansingburgh in 1900 and who was interred in Oakwood Cemetery had been written up a little on this site in the post "Walter Bulkley (1828-1900) and his family of musicians."[gdoc key="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ltz23Jighv69q8DSTLJJTC5q1nAmQoDQBXG7SlrN9QE/edit?usp=sharing" http_opts='{}']
