April 15- Thursday 7:30 PM Melville House (114th Street)-Paul and Mary Liz Stewart of the Underground Railroad Project of the Capitol Region will speak about the underground railroad in the Troy area,including a well publicized slave case in 1860.
April 24- Saturday, 9AM-2PM Melville House (114th Street)- our annual Book Sale. Rain or shine.Proceeds will benefit the restoration of the Herman Melville House.
May 20- Thursday, 7:30PM Melville House (114th Street)- Hugh Vaughn, Lansingburgh native and dowser will talk about invisable energies of Lansingburgh and their connection to Native Americans and sacred sites.The public is invited and refreshments are available.
June 12- Saturday, 9AM-2PM Melville House (114th Street)- our annual Porch Sale . Rain or shine.There will be hundreds of antiques and collectibles,household items, antique tools, antique and collectible glass,small furniture,beer,soda and medicine bottles. Some perennial plants.
September 16- Thursday, 7:30PM Lansingburgh Branch of the Troy Public Library(114th Street & 4th Avenue)- Ned Pratt ,president ogf the local chapter of the Society of Architectural Historians will present a program on Troy's endangered churches. Open to the Public,refreshments served.
September 18 Saturday 12:30PM Starts at Melville House(114th Street)- a walking tour of Historic Lansingburgh churches Ned Pratt will visit 5 historic churches. Free and open to the public.
November 18- Thursday, 7:30PM Melville House (114th Street)- our annual Holiday Party will be held, including an auction of small antiques, collectibles,Chrismas books and Holiday ornaments.
Party is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
